marathon, what it does mean is making small
changes in your life so that you can live a healthier
tomorrow. Let's work it out together, let's use
this format to keep track of the progress to achieve our

Lifestyle Change Awards and the spectacular prizes
As part of the
Island Walk Campaign, the Bermuda Heart Foundation is
proud to introduce its Lifestyle Change Award Program.
These awards acknowledge the special efforts of
individuals and companies who are making positive
changes in their lives and the lives of their employees.
Lifestyle Change Awards will be presented at the Bermuda
Heart Foundation Lifestyle Change
Ceremony 2011.
The Lifestyle Change Awards will be given to the company
that best promotes health programs and initiatives to
their employees. A wide variety of categories for
groups, individual and companies such as
Top Motivator - Best Team Leader - Most Miles Logged -
and the Golden Heart Award will be presented
at the ceremony.
More information on our Lifestyle Change Awards and the
spectacular prizes will be announced shortly.
Island Walk Questions and Answers
Q. What is the Island Walk
Campaign?
A.
It is a behavioral modification program that seeks to
introduce and promote physical activity as a way of
life, not just for a day or a couple of weeks.
Q. How does it work?
A. HOTT 107 5 and Nikita (from the ladies room) have committed to
walking for heart health will you? Island Walk asks
participants to add exercise to their lunch hour by
walking for 30 minutes, 3 times a week.

Q. Is there a
route to follow?
A.
No! You choose any route you want, it's simple.
Try this to start - just walk 15 minutes in any
direction then turn around and go back.
Engage Your Company's Support
- Present this
program to your CEO and executive leadership to gain
their commitment to the
program. Ask them to launch the Island Walk Campaign to all staff.
- To track long-term success, each participant will
receive a lanyard with a card attached when
they register for the Island Walk Campaign!

brisk walk for as little as 30 minutes a day can
